Welcome to the canvas of creativity, the gallery of my imagination – this is Joanna’s journal, where each brushstroke tells a story and every color sings a melody of its own.
Every piece I create carries a piece of me with it, an echo of my thoughts, dreams, and emotions. Take a journey through my creative process, from initial outlines to final touches, and understand the heart of an artist at work.
Sometimes, it’s not just about the display of completed works, but the musings and inspirations that lead to them. I delve into everything from the whispers of the wind to the chaos of the city, finding sparks that ignite my next artistic adventure.
Art is more than a career or hobby – it’s a way of life.
This journal is not just a showcase but a diary, a confidant, and most importantly, a way to connect with you. Join me on this colorful journey; who knows, together we might just paint the world with the hues of our imagination.
‘The Guardian (at Sunrise)‘
Inspired by a piece of music entitled ‘Sunrise’, written, produced and performed by a very good friend of mine, James Taylor.
I started the bare bones using French curves and white acrylic pen. The piece on the left is only a cross-section but I will keep up-dating it as it progresses.

‘The Guardian (at Sunrise)‘
Created on black mounting board, using French Curves and free-hand. I’m using black ink (a ton of it!) and metallic acrylic copper and gold ‘pen’ paint, along with white acrylic ‘pen’ paint. Acrylic pens are much easier to navigate when creating intricate designs.

‘The Guardian (at Sunrise)‘
Just over half way through. The wings are nearly finished. The armor shouldn’t take too long, hopefully!
This is not the best photo for detail as I tend to paint more at night when it’s quiet.
