In 2022 after having spent many years drawing and painting, Joanna decided to submit various pieces of her artwork, new and old, to an online art competition. She had once approached a local gallery over 30 years previously and was turned away because she didn’t have a background in fine arts or possess a degree to that effect so she never thought it would be possible to make a living out of something she was born to do.
Fortunately today, and due to the advent of the internet, this is no longer the case and absolutely anybody and everybody who loves to draw and paint can enter art competitions online and have their work seen by curators, jurors, gallery owners and the general public.
